NRI Teenager Brutally Attacked On Birthday

A shocking incident took place in Tarneit City, Melbourne, where a 16-year-old boy of Indian origin, Rhyan Singh, was celebrating his birthday with two friends while playing basketball. A gang of about seven to eight people carrying machetes suddenly ambushed them.

The attackers demanded the trio hand over their mobile phones and also forced Rhyan to give up his new Nike Air Jordan sneakers, a gift he had just received. Rhyan and his friends were stabbed multiple times, resulting in injuries to their ribs, arms, hands, and backs. Rhyan also suffered a blow to the back of his head.

The Victoria Police reported that the altercation took place before the offenders fled the scene. The police have detained a 20-year-old man following the alleged armed robbery and stabbing.

Rhyan’s mother, Sushma Manandhar, expressed her distress over the incident, stating that they had planned a family dinner with Rhyan’s favorite cheesecake to celebrate his birthday when they received the heartbreaking news.

As Rhyan and his friends recover in the hospital, authorities are working diligently to bring justice to those responsible for this heinous attack.
