An event from Telangana recently made headlines as a UK based NRI planned to kill his wife and her family members with arsenic poisoning. The event took a worse turn as all of them fell seriously ill, and the wife’s mother passed away during treatment.
The wife and her father remained ill as the doctors managed to save them. In the primary observation, it was assumed to be food poisoning, but later, a very high dosage of arsenic was discovered in their bodies.
The hospital suspected the husband’s role in this and complained to the Miyapur police. In further investigation, the police revealed that the husband and the cousin of the wife were on the same ship and made numerous attempts to kill the family members.
Later, it was also revealed that the cousin barely liked the family and had befriended the husband, who also shared similar interests. Later, when the husband visited the cousin, he mixed arsenic with chili powder, which resulted in the devastating event.
