Rumored US Deportation of Indian Students

The aspiration to pursue higher education in the United States is common among many Indian students. We recently reported from Hyderabad’s Shamshabad Airport around five flights brimming with around 5000-6000 students depart daily, underlining the continued interest in American education, especially among Telugu people.

Now there are unconfirmed reports of several students who secured admissions and possessed valid visas faced unexpected obstacles upon arrival in the US, leading to their return.

According to these reports, 21 students who arrived in the US on valid visas were deported to India by US immigration authorities. These 21 students, sent back on an Air India flight, now face a five-year entry ban to the US. This situation, rooted in document insufficiencies, involves many students from Telugu states.

Particularly, those enrolling in esteemed universities in cities like Atlanta, San Francisco, and Chicago encountered intensified immigration scrutiny, causing extreme panic among students and their families.

Indians do indeed submit some documents that might not be entirely authentic to get some benefits. But such issues never resulted in the deportation of students.

However, these are unconfirmed reports as of now. We are tracking down this issue, and more clarification is awaited.
