Scammer Doctor Made Crores in the USA

Mona Gosh, a 51-year-old Indian-American who runs a women’s health care unit specialising in gynaecology, has admitted that she has committed two health care frauds that have the potential for more than a 10-year prison sentence.

Previously, Chicago-based ex-billionaire Rishi Shaw was sentenced to a seven-and-a-half-year prison sentence for committing a crime with a health care start-up. Many popular investors were invested in his start-up idea, and he allegedly owed more than $1 billion. He also committed many fraudulent actions and multiple money laundering crimes. His scams were exposed in a 2017 Wall Street article, and he was imprisoned. This was viral news a few years ago; following this, Mona Gosh’s crime looks shocking.

Federal agencies have accused Gosh of stealing more than $2.4 million. By hearing her accusation, she has admitted that she is responsible for more than $1.5 million of false claims. Since 2017, Mona Gosh and her staff have continuously submitted false claims to insurance companies such as Medicaid, TRICARE, and many others that weren’t used or were not necessary for the patients. Other than this, she also committed many errors, including conducting some medical procedures without patient concerns, telemedicine frauds, and incorrect billing to claim huge reimbursement amounts.
