Jetty Harika, a 25-year-old veterinary doctor from Tenali, recently lost her life in a road accident in Oklahoma, USA. Harika had been pursuing higher studies in veterinary medicine for the past year and a half.

Her grieving family, including her father Jetty Srinivasa Rao, a tax department employee, and her mother Nagamani, are now waiting for the Indian Embassy to repatriate her body. They have appealed to the government for urgent assistance in bringing Harika’s body back to Tenali for her final rites.

“We are completely heartbroken by this sudden loss,” a close relative said. “Our priority right now is to get Harika home and perform the final rites. We request the government’s support and cooperation in this difficult time.”

This incident comes on the heels of other recent tragedies involving Indian students in the US. Another Indian student recently died in a bike accident in New York, and three Indian students lost their lives in a car accident in Alpharetta, Georgia.
