Telugu NRIs Prefer Texas Over Hyderabad

The soaring land prices in Hyderabad have prompted the Telugu NRI community to seek more lucrative investment options in the United States, particularly in Dallas and Austin, Texas.

Compared to Hyderabad’s upscale IT corridor, these Texas cities offer land at roughly one-tenth of the price, making them attractive to senior corporate executives, doctors, lawyers, and businessmen living in different parts of the US. This shift is partly due to the challenging property market conditions in India.

The favorable aspects of investing in Dallas and Austin include affordability, similar weather to Hyderabad, a good work-life balance, and connectivity.

The presence of major companies like Tesla, Toyota, Texas Instruments, Samsung, and Dell further enhances their appeal, attracting tech talent, including Telugu NRIs.

Many consultancies and recruitment firms run by Telugus in Dallas have also seen substantial profits, contributing to the demand for land.

However, there are concerns about fraudulent real estate activities targeting NRIs, emphasizing the importance of caution when making transactions.
