Trump’s Fraud Votes: Repeating 2020 Disaster?

After suffering a loss in the 2020 elections, Donald Trump went on to blame the electoral process and the inclusion of illegal voters behind it. And once again the former US president has returned with the same claims even before this year’s elections conclude.

Following Trump’s assertions, eight US states are trying to ban noncitizens from voting, even though it’s already illegal. These include important battleground states like North Carolina and Wisconsin, which will have a drastic impact on the voting process.

However, the ground reality seems to be far from what the Republican candidate is projecting. While some local areas allow noncitizens to vote in local elections, studies show illegal voting is negligible in the presidential elections.

Critics say this is part of Donald Trump’s plan to challenge the election results if he loses again on November 5. Democrats and even some Republicans echo this sentiment and have shown full faith in the electoral process

The last time Trump tried to cast a doubt on the election results it led to the January 6 attack on US Capitol. Only time will tell if history will repeat itself or will cooler heads prevail.
