UK Priest Accused Of Sexual Assault Paid Heavily By Church!

In many western countries, the Church holds a very important position in society and the people belonging to the church are often very high profile personalities. But at the same time, the church has had faced charges of sexual assault and corruption for ages. Many proven convictions of church men being involved in sexual assault has contributed to this ill reputation of the institution.

A priest in the UK is in news for receiving a six figure payout by the Church of England. The priest is allegedly a great threat to children and there have been many cases against him including sexual assault. The priest was allegedly involved with a 15 year old and a 17 year old.

There was an assessment done to check whether he is a risk to children and after that he was suspended twice. It is making citizens wonder why would the Church pay him such a large amount if he is a threat to children and young people.

It has been reported that the Church has to pay him as a form of settlement. The priest had sued the church for forcefully retiring him. The Church had no other option but to pay him in order to keep him away from children and young people. On the other hand, the priest claims he is being targeted by homophobic elements.
