US Gone Too Far? Forces Raid Indian Temples

The latest move from the US cracking down on illegal immigrants has sparked outrage among the community. Homeland Security officials visiting gurdwaras in New York and New Jersey are being accused of targeting places of worship.

Just hours after Trump’s inauguration, the DHS removed protections for “sensitive” areas like temples and churches. Officers are reportedly visiting gurudwaras looking for undocumented individuals that they believe are protected by religious organizations.

Following the news, Sikh groups are calling the raids an attack on faith and condemning them as deeply alarming and harmful to the Indian community.

NRI leaders also came in support and demanded accountability from the government over border security lapses that allowed these illegal immigrants in the first place.

Parents in Punjab are panicking over their children who migrated through illegal routes. Many spent ₹60 lakh or more, fearing deportation would not only bring a financial crisis but also public shame.

The Sikh community now stands united, defending their spaces and calling for justice. As deportation fears grow, they’re also demanding better solutions for those who risked everything to chase the American dream.
