An Indian origin man who was wanted in a case of aggravated assault has been shot dead by the police in the United States of America. The man is believed to have attacked two police officers intentionally before getting shot down by one of them.
The incident happened on the 21st of April when the two police officers were trying to get him on a case of aggravated assault. According to the police, the man was a suspect of assault on a woman, who is believed to be his roommate.
The 42 year old man allegedly hit the woman with his white BMW and then fled the scene. Hours later, the neighbors called the police to inform that he was back. When the police came and tried to block him, he tried to escape and started driving away, hitting two police officers.
One of the police officers took a shot and struck him. He was pronounced dead at the scene only. The ex-wife of the man has said that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and also had symptoms of schizophrenia.
The injured woman had to undergo surgeries and is being treated in a critical condition. One officer was also getting treatment at the local hospital after getting injured.
