US Travel Ban Messing Up Indian H-1B Stamping?

With the recent reports of Trump imposing a travel ban on certain countries, there are growing concerns among Indian H1B travelers.

A recent social media post shows the panic among H-1B holders traveling for visa stamping. The Indian worker, who is eligible for an interview waiver, is unsure whether it’s safe to go through Istanbul due to the reported US travel ban.

He wrote, “I am planning to go India for H1b stamping on Mar 21st as I am eligible for Interview Waiver, Dropbox on Mar 24th and returning back to US on April 12th. Is it recommended to travel now, especially from layover at Istanbul, considering travel ban coming in place.”

This kind of confusion is spreading fast as nothing has been made official yet. While people claim Turkey isn’t on any reported ban list, the user is left second-guessing his routes.

The panic doesn’t stop there. Even those eligible for the Dropbox option are being randomly called for in-person interviews.

Netizens sharing their own experience warn that they have faced unexpected delays, forcing them to stay in India for weeks. The US consulates are already overloaded which is only adding to the mess.

No one knows what will happen next, and that’s exactly why people are worried. Should they travel or wait? The uncertainty is growing, and until there’s clarity Indian H-1Bs are left guessing.
