A 32-year-old Telugu student has been arrested in the United States of America for trying to get a minor into an illegal sexual activity.
Getting into details, the Telugu student flew to the United States on a student Visa. From September 20, 2022, to October 6, 2022, he texted a detective posing as a 13-year-old girl, on social media.
In their chats, the accused constantly expressed his desire to get into a sexual relationship. He even sent pornography images and videos to the detective, who posed herself as a teenage girl.
The accused also constantly asked the girl to meet him and finally, they had set up a meeting in a park in Millcreek Township in Erie County, Pennsylvania.
After arriving in the park, he was immediately arrested and he found out that the girl he was chatting with was an undercover detective.
Upon investigating the case and checking the accused’s conversations with the undercover agent on social media, a federal court sentenced him to a 12-year jail term.
