The biggest opposition that Vladimir Putin faced in his political career and the person who unmasked the corruption in Russia is declared dead. Alexei Navalny, who has been behind bars since 2021 died on the 16th of February according to the jail authorities. The news has created an international uproar and the western world is blaming the Russian government for the act.
Alexei Navalny was a staunch opponent of Vladimir Putin and he had managed to organize many protests against the Kremlin. Navalny tried to highlight the institutional corruption that runs through the Putin administration and that’s why he became the number target.
The jail authorities informed that Navalny felt a little uneasy on Friday and then soon turned unconscious. The medical team was called but they failed to revive him and he was declared dead. The official press of Navalny hasn’t confirmed the news as they are waiting for reliable information.
Former campaign manager for Navalny said that if he is dead, it is Putin who is behind the act. The international community is raising questions about the incident and Putin is likely to be face these allegations.
