James Wan’s psychological thriller series 56 Days will premiere on Prime Video on February 18, 2026. The show adapts Catherine Ryan Howard’s novel and explores how a romance slowly transforms into something deadly.
The plot revolves around Oliver and Ciara, two young professionals who meet in a supermarket. Their sudden attraction leads to an intense relationship. What begins as passion soon becomes a dangerous affair that ends with murder.
Fifty-six days later, police discover a decomposing body in Oliver’s apartment. This discovery triggers a tense homicide investigation. Detectives try to uncover what really happened between the couple and who is telling the truth.
The series is adapted by Lisa Zwerling and Karyn Usher. James Wan produces the project with Atomic Monster. The cast features Dove Cameron as Ciara, Avan Jogia as Oliver, Karla Souza as Detective Lee Reardon and Dorian Missick as Detective Karl Connolly.
56 Days promises a gripping mix of crime, mystery and erotic tension. It remains to be seen whether the series can meet the expectations of thriller fans when it arrives on Prime Video in February.
