8AM Metro: Underrated Relationship Drama Finds Love on OTT

Bollywood relationship drama 8 A.M. Metro has found renewed appreciation on OTT platforms. The film stars Gulshan Devaiah and Saiyami Kher in lead roles and is directed by Raj Rachakonda.

The film is based on the popular Telugu novel Andamaina Jeevitham. It was released in theatres on 19th May 2023 and received positive word of mouth from audiences.

Despite the favourable response, the film struggled to attract major OTT platforms initially. Due to its low-budget nature and limited theatrical impact, no leading streaming service picked it up at the time.

More than a year later, ZEE5 acquired the streaming rights. The film began streaming on the platform in May 2024.

A few months after its ZEE5 debut, 8 A.M. Metro also started streaming on Amazon Prime Video. This move gave the film wider visibility among OTT audiences.

Around 1.5 years after its OTT release, the film is now trending on Amazon Prime. Many viewers who discovered it recently have shared positive reviews online.

Several viewers described 8 A.M. Metro as one of the best feel-good relationship dramas released in Bollywood in recent years. Many have also recommended the film to others on social media platforms.

Reacting to the renewed love, executive producer Venkat Siddareddy shared a post on his X account. He stated that a good film will always find its audience and thanked viewers for their support.

It remains to be seen how 8 A.M. Metro performs on Amazon Prime in the coming days. The recent social media buzz could help the film reach a much larger audience.
