One of the most notable statistics revealed was that 70% of Netflix’s global viewership involves subtitles or dubbing.

This highlights how the platform connects with audiences around the world, even when the content is not in English.

In particular, Korean content has performed exceptionally well, with over 80% of Netflix members worldwide watching K-content.

In the U.S., non-English content accounted for 13% of all viewing hours last year.

This is significant considering that the U.S. has historically been dominated by local English-language productions.

Shows from Korea, Spain, and Japan have been particularly popular in the U.S.

Additionally, Netflix is deepening its partnerships with over 1,000 producers across 50 countries.

During the event, Netflix executives showcased footage from upcoming non-English titles, including One Hundred Years of Solitude (Colombia), The Leopard (Italy), and Alice in Borderland Season 3 (Japan).

These numbers and projects show Netflix’s growing global reach and the increasing appetite for non-English content worldwide.

With 70% of global viewers engaging with subtitles or dubbing, the platform’s focus on local authenticity is clearly resonating with audiences across regions.
