Emotional Drama on Prime Video: Binge or Cringe?

Abhishek Bachchan’s Be Happy is out now on Amazon Prime Video. It features Inayat Verma as the second lead and has been directed by choreographer Remo D’Souza.

Be Happy has been described as an emotional film and as per the reviews that are out now on social media, it seems like the film has managed to leave an impression on the critics and audience.

People have praised the director for bringing the story of a father and daughter without any flaws on the small screen and as mentioned above, it is going to leave audiences emotional in the end. The writing of the characters has been additionally appreciated.

Abhishek Bachchan is being specifically mentioned by everyone for giving his career-best performance so far. Apart from that, the dance sequences have also received praise along with the soundtrack, which features 12 songs in total.

On the flipside, many others have expressed their disappointment with the main storyline. People said that although the film had a plot with a lot of potential, the execution did not work at all, making it an average watch.

Others claimed that although Abhishek is an underrated actor, the character of Be Happy did not suit him much and that he should try something else.

It seems like Abhishek Bachchan has finally listened to the audience and he is now opting to survive through OTT instead of coming back to the big screen with a solo film. It is also good that Remo D’Souza attempted something different this time as a director.

But the question is why Abhishek is not getting enough praise on the big screen like the way he is appreciated on OTT. No one has an answer now.

However, he still has an opportunity to bounce back with Shah Rukh Khan’s King, which is releasing next year. Let’s see if theatre audiences will accept Abhishek.
