Ads On Downloaded Movies? OTTs Going Too Far

The problem of advertisement in OTT streaming has been disturbing Indian Users of various platforms for quite some time now and every other day we can see loads of complaints on social media about the same.

But it looks like platforms are finding out new ways to torture the users every now and then. Jio Hotstar and SonyLIV are two platforms that are most criticised for their advertisement policy.

And now Jio Hotstar is facing another allegation. A user has complained that he had downloaded some movies but ads were being shown for the downloaded content as well when the internet was on.

This is very frustrating for subscribers because they are finding no way out to escape from the many ads in each movie and show.

Showing ads in downloaded content if the internet is on, is too much and Jio Hotstar needs to understand that in the process of making more and more money they are putting the satisfaction of users at stake.

Maybe this is time they learn something from Netflix now and reconsider their advertising policies.
