The online response regarding Karan Johar’s new venture has been mostly positive, with many fans seeing the aviation backdrop as a fresh and exciting venture.

However, several speculations are going around the internet as well.

Karan Johar’s entry into the OTT world with ‘Jet Set Go’ has left people speculating whether he would be able to handle the pressure of catering to Netflix’s wider global audience.

While Karan has a proven track record in cinema, OTT operates in a much different way. He not only has to appeal to his traditional audience but also to the newer ones accustomed to a diverse tone.

The selection of three female leads has also parked discussion that Karan might have gotten too comfortable with his tendency to work with familiar faces from previous projects.

Dharma Productions has also recently announced a strategic partnership with Adar Poonawalla’s Serene Productions, aiming to increase Dharma’s reach to a global audience.

‘Jet Set Go’ will be under production throughout 2025 and is expected to make its Netflix release in 2026.
