Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Bads of Bollywood, is currently dominating the OTT space. As a result, new releases on OTT are struggling, and Kajol’s latest season is no exception.
The series follows Kajol as she navigates both personal and professional challenges while defending her reputation in court. Her strong performance is the main highlight, but the show offers little beyond her commanding presence.
Despite having some strong moments in its second season, The Trial falls short. Its simultaneous release with The Ba**ds of Bollywood* has further hurt its visibility among viewers.
Audiences who might have tuned in for the courtroom drama are instead hooked on the rise of Aryan Khan’s OTT debut. The buzz around The Ba**ds of Bollywood* is pulling all the attention away.
Whether The Trial S2 can recover in its first week remains uncertain. With average reviews and tough competition from Aryan Khan’s project, it faces an uphill battle to gain traction.
