After the wild-card contestants enter, the basic expectation is that the existing contestants take the feedback and act on it. Any contestant would prefer to work on their flaws, since they’re getting valid, accurate feedback from people who watched them play for almost five weeks in the house. But this is not the case with Rohith and Shalini. Every wild card contestant clearly targeted Shalini and Rohith, almost hinting that their bond isn’t taking them anywhere. However, Shalini and Rohith are living in a false reality.
Rohith is a strong contestant and a potential candidate to win the trophy this season. The way he carried himself during the Agni Pariksha show, and how he played the game calmly and composedly, brought him closer to many audiences. Lately, he isn’t focusing on his game; he’s obsessed with developing and strengthening his bond with Shalini. In fact, Shalini is unknowingly pulling Rohith down, and neither of them realizes it.
Rohith is unnecessarily ruining his game by giving other housemates chances to point fingers at him. In the last week, he hasn’t won any games, and overall, his win percentage is also low. Even in the latest episode, he gets triggered unnecessarily, shouting at others and arguing blindly without any logic.
Rohith got good feedback from the wild card contestants, and the audience also shared similar feedback: he must improve his game and stop focusing on Shalini. The more time he spends with Shalini, the harder it is to reach the finale. The existing housemates, in infact, preferred to have Shalini in the house instead of Charan, simply because Rohith can be easily defeated when he is with Shalini.
So, as host Nagarjuna said, it’s high time and “Meluko Rohith Meluko.”
