Salman Khan sparks Bigg Boss 20 buzz
Bigg Boss 20 appears to be having a strong Salman Khan week. The reality show reportedly recorded 21 million viewers on Ormax StreamView, making it the highest-viewed non-cricket property on the platform during the week. Ormax counts a viewer after at least 30 minutes of viewing between Monday and Sunday.
The latest figure marks a notable increase from the 6.4 million viewers recorded during the show’s opening tracking week. A significant part of the recent attention came from Salman Khan’s Weekend Ka Vaar appearance on September 19, where he addressed online trolling and comments about his appearance.
During the episode, Salman responded to comments about his age, weight and appearance. He then removed his hat, jacket and shirt on stage, wiped off his makeup and challenged the trolls to continue making comments about him. The contestants responded with a standing ovation.
Salman also addressed intrusive paparazzi photography involving actresses. He questioned the practice of deliberately taking uncomfortable photographs of women. His comments later received support from celebrities including Rohit Shetty, who shared the shirtless clip along with a message directed at the trolls.
