The Tamil blockbuster, Leo, starring Vijay in the lead role has set the release date for its digital release.
The movie hit theaters on 19 October and went on to become the highest grossing Tamil movie of 2023 with a box office collection of ₹615 crore against a budget of 250 crores. Not only that, it became the highest grossing Tamil movie overseas.
It will be available on Netflix from 24th November in India. Globally, it will stream from 28th November in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo is the third installment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe that follows an animal rescuer and cafe owner Parthi who gets pursued by gangster Antony who suspects him to be his estranged son.
The other movies in the cinematic universe are 2019’s Kaithi starring Karthi and 2022’s Vikram with Kamal Hassan in the lead. It is currently the highest grossing movie universe in the Tamil industry.
Apart from Vijay, who was the biggest pull for the movie-goers, Leo starred Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Trisha, Gautam Vasudev Menon and more.
