Rajinikanth’s film Coolie is scheduled for digital release on Amazon Prime Video on September 11. However, fans are requesting an earlier release to prevent piracy from affecting its OTT performance.
After an underwhelming run at the box office, Coolie will now stream on Amazon Prime Video. The film will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the movie failed to meet audience expectations and disappointed many of his fans. Despite this, piracy has already become a major concern, with several websites leaking the HD print ahead of the official release.
The spread of pirated versions could impact the film’s viewership on Prime Video. If illegal copies continue to circulate, the official release may face a significant drop in audience numbers.
To tackle this issue, many users suggest that Prime Video should prepone the release of Coolie. With the digital premiere confirmed for September 11, it remains to be seen whether the platform will take action against piracy and release the film earlier.
