Neeraj Pandey’s Sikandar Ka Muqqadar is all set to arrive on Netflix on November 29, 2024. The recent trailer has hinted that Neeraj is once again back to his comfort zone with thrillers where he can give amazing results.
The trailer opens with the authorities receiving a phone call about a robbery supposed to happen at a huge showroom from an anonymous source. Gunshots are heard and red solitaires put on display go missing.
Jimmy Shergill is then introduced as a tough cop brought in to solve the case. There are three suspects under investigation and suddenly something unexpected happens, bringing a big change to the lives of all the main characters.
The latest glimpse is proof that Neeraj Pandey is trying to bounce back after the failure of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. But the worst decision is to release a film on an OTT platform where you never get to know whether the film has impressed the audience or left them disappointed.
Talking about the cast, Jimmy Shergill is undoubtedly one of the finest actors. But his character as a police officer lacks the intensity that is needed. Others seem to have given a natural performance.
Now the question is whether the film would feature an interesting premise. OTT is a place where uniqueness has always been praised. However, Sikandar Ka Muqaddar doesn’t look like a film that will be remembered forever. Neeraj should have opted for big stars and released his film on the big screen.
Apart from Jimmy, the film also features Rajeev Mehta, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Avinash Tiwary in other important roles.
