OTT Queen Hits Back: Controversial Army Scenes

Ekta Kapoor and ALT Balaji are once again facing scrutiny, this time with police involvement.

The controversy dates back to 2020 when Bigg Boss fame Hindustani Bhau accused their shows of promoting vulgarity and allegedly disrespecting the Indian military. His complaint has now led to police questioning Kapoor.

However, many netizens see this as another attempt to impose stricter control over OTT platforms, arguing that creative freedom is already under pressure due to censorship.

While some feel ALT Balaji could be more mindful of sensitive content, others believe filing a police case is excessive, especially when larger societal issues exist.

Meanwhile, Ekta Kapoor is not staying silent. Her legal team has released a statement clarifying that the case was previously closed but is now being misused to defame her.

The magistrate’s recent request for a police review has been twisted into a controversy for publicity. In response, Kapoor is considering a ₹100 crore defamation suit and criminal proceedings against those spreading false claims.
