There is an interesting trend going on social media these days. Have you seen those vertical reels of famous movies, imagining what if “Tamasha” or any other movie were shot vertically? These reels include some interesting shots from the movie.

While these reels offer a unique perspective, but would you actually watch movies if they were shot vertically?

AT&T, a famous media company in the US that once owned HBO, once suggested to the Game of Thrones creators to shoot the series vertically in portrait mode. According to the executives, many people watch the series on their phones, and shooting vertically could enhance the viewing experience. They even considered producing mini episodes tailored for mobile phone audiences. Fortunately, this idea was never executed.

However, filming anything on a wide screen generally provides a better viewing experience than on a phone. While vertical reels are okay, shooting an entire series vertically might diminish the grandeur the show originally had. What are your thoughts on this?
