TVF and Prime Video’s ‘Gram Chikitsalay’ is being criticised a lot for trying to be the second Panchayat. There are a few good reviews but most of the viewers are not happy with the show.
People are saying they have wasted their potential with a five episode series and when the interest was suddenly building up, it got ended abruptly. Gram Chikitsalay is nothing but the attempt to cash on the popularity of Panchayat. At least fans are saying so.
TVF has given extraordinary contents with very low budgets. But now it is going on a completely different track. With Panchayat’s success, the company is getting greedy and have started to compromise with the quality and originality of the stories.
Gram Chikitsalay’s packaging as the second Panchayat has backfired for the platform. A few days back ‘Dupahiya’ was released and it too had a close to Panchayat premise. And there are now no stories like Cubicles and Kota Factory that TVF used to bring previously.
Yielding to greed for a more successful show will result in compromises with the story again and again. And people expect a lot from the TVF and Prime Video collaboration. Their expectations must not be broken the next time the two companies come together.
