Apple TV+ is about to launch its new crime thriller series “Presumed Innocent”, based on American author Scott Turow’s 1987 novel with the same name, this one is an action packed psychological thriller.
The movie has Jake Gyllenhaal as the lead actor, the trailer opens with a monologue narrated by Gyllenhaal, and soon he talks about a girl named Carolyn played by Renate Reinsve.
How madly and affectionately he is in love with the girl he expresses through some series of footage when the scene cuts and shifts to a courtroom where we get to know that Carolyn is being murdered and Rusty the character of Jack is the primary suspect.
In the new trailer we can see Jack denying all the allegations and asking whether he is a suspect or not.
The second trailer very minutely shows that something very sinister and mysterious is going underneath.
“Do you really think I killed her?” This line is part of a rapid audio montage near the end, emphasising his persistent denial.
The cast of this limited series includes Ruth Negga as Rusty’s wife and Peter Sarsgaard as the lead prosecutor. Other members are Bill Camp, O-T Fagbenle, Chase Infiniti, Elizabeth Marvel, Nana Mensah, Renate Reinsve and Kingston Rumi Southwick.
From Emmy-winning creator David E. Kelley, “Presumed Innocent” premieres on June 12 only on Apple TV+.
