Jayam Ravi, a superstar in Tamil cinema, had his latest release “Siren” enjoy a good run at the box office. Despite average reviews from critics, the movie ended up being highly successful among the audience and was declared a superhit.
“Siren” tells the story of Thilagavarman, a man who is convicted for the murder of his wife and is on a 14-day parole after 14 long years. As he is out, unfortunately, he again gets in trouble as he is spotted near a few places where murders took place. Keerthy Suresh plays the cop who wants to catch him again.
The movie, after viewing, seemed to have a strong vision, but the poor screenwriting made things difficult. Incoherent writing and direction made up for a dull movie experience. Even Keerthy Suresh’s character seems half-baked. The seriously annoying scenes especially in the second half makes for not such a good experience.
But fans loved the movie despite its shortcomings due to Jayam Ravi and his performance. Now, after the movie has completed its theatrical run, it is going to premiere soon on April 19 only on Disney+ Hotstar. Do let us know your thoughts on the movie.
