Bollywood’s love affair with heist thrillers is about to get a serious adrenaline boost with Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, premiering on Netflix on April 25, 2025.
That’s when we get to see Saif Ali Khan—star of many a high-octane action film—take on the role of a master con artist tasked with stealing a priceless diamond. But can he really pull off the heist of a lifetime?
Saif’s character starts out with a plan that’s as slick as he is. But what begins as a meticulously planned job quickly turns into a high-stakes game of survival.
Enemies are lurking around every corner, and every move he makes could be his last. That’s where the real tension begins.
The supporting cast is just as impressive: Jaideep Ahlawat, Kunal Kapoor, Nikita Dutta and Sandhya Mridul all bring their A-game to the table. Expect intense confrontations and some seriously unpredictable betrayals.
Jewel Thief takes us on a wild ride across Budapest, Istanbul and Mumbai. The teaser promises plenty of thrilling chases, mind games and pulse-pounding action sequences that could give Hollywood like (Money hiest) a run for its money.
Saif has a history of playing morally complex characters (Omkara, Race, Ek Hasina Thi). Can he once again nail the role of a suave, cunning mastermind? With Pathaan director Siddharth Anand at the helm as a producer, expectations are sky-high.
If you love your heist films action-packed, full of deception and high stakes, Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins could be Netflix’s next big action hit.
Will Saif’s character outsmart everyone and escape with the diamond—or is he just a pawn in a much bigger game?
