JioHotstar is facing immense backlash for its weekly release schedule of the fan favorite series “Criminal Justice”.
Viewers are frustrated saying the OTT platform has taken the streaming to the 90’s, when in a week only one episode of any show used to air.
The strategy which the platform used to enhance the viewership and create viewer engagement, seems to backfire them. Although because of this only reason the series is a hot topic now. But, the negativity is increasing day by day losing the interest of the viewers towards the show.
Audiences pay for OTT platforms so that they can see their favorite movie or series as soon as it drops, and this is one of the top things people go for OTT subscriptions, so they can binge watch a show.
If the viewer has to wait for a week just for one episode, which is not even an hour long and leaves the viewer in a cliffhanger, it is truly frustrating from the viewers perspective.
Will this scheduling strategy lower the interest towards the show or increase it is about time to see.
But JioHotstar has to change the strategy if they want to keep their viewership intact.
