JioHotstar Hack: No More Irritating IPL Ads?

The Indian Premier League has been going on in full swing, with each team trying its best to stay on top of its competition.

While the game has become more entertaining than ever, the ads have become as intolerable if not more.

With repetitive ads of biscuits, paan masala, and fantasy apps making the public’s watching experience miserable, one particular programmer has decided to take matters into his own hands, creating a Chrome extension that mutes all these atrocious adverts.

The extension is called ‘Hotstar ad muter’, and it has created a massive buzz around the internet, with social media users expressing their emotions in the comments.

One user said, “True contribution to saving of the Mankind!”

Another commented, “This deserves a Padma award!! Wah well done!”

This response from the public has exposed the increasing anger and frustration people hold against such senseless ads.

While ads used to possess some meaning and be entertaining earlier, now they have just become purely and utterly irritating.

It will be interesting to see if the BCCI and JioHotstar let this extension be or use their full force to try and get it removed from the public domain.
