Fresh On OTT: Only Hype, Or Good Content?

The OTT space is set to welcome one of the most exciting outings in recent times in the form of Manjummel Boys which will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from 5th May.

Manjummel Boys is the biggest box office hit of all time from Malayalam cinema and it is essentially a survival thriller.

Earlier, another Malayalam survival thriller, 2018 too was a big hit at the box office but later got a lukewarm response on OTT. Now, it is the case of Manjummel Boys who is almost in the same zone as 2018 and it has to be seen what this film has to offer to the audience.

For starters, Manjummel Boys is based on a group of friends who face a string of unexpected misadventures on a vacation trip to Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, India. It has a connect factor with the Tamil and Malayali audiences.

Once the film debuts on OTT, the wider sections of the audience will watch the film and this could give a clear view if the film was carried at the box office with hype or if it actually has good content to offer. The film will stream in major Indian languages on Hotstar from the said date.
