Netflix India’s New Interface: Pure Trash, Say Users

Netflix’s latest interface update for its television app has started a confusion and complaints among a section of its worldwide subscriber base.

With larger tile displays now ruling the home screen, many users argue that the designed layout makes it difficult for smooth browsing. Instead of enhancing it, they preferred the old format which was much more efficient for browsing.

Daily Netflix users on social media are pointing out how the oversized thumbnails make it harder to scan through options quickly, claiming the interface now feels more haphazard than convenient.

Another user pointed out, while Netflix is likely to improve user friendliness, the interface feels like it’s been changed for touch or mobile screens and not the TVs.

But, not all the feedbacks are negative. Some users acknowledge that the layout could help highlight lesser-known titles, making discovery easier for casual viewers.

Meanwhile we have to keep it in mind that the update hasn’t been released universally yet. Those who haven’t received the new UI still enjoy the old grid system, while others are now adjusting with the new format.

As Netflix continues to renovate its style, the question still remains, will this interface shift become the new norm or another setback?
