Netflix Is Going To Bring Us A Modern Day Dorian Gray!

Literary enthusiasts are well aware of the novel by the prominent author Oscar Wilde named The Picture of Dorian Gray. It combines the grit and grace of Oscar Wilde’s bewildering writing style and is revered as a classic. Netflix is embarking on a project based on the novel that will be a modern day adaptation in a series format. It will surely be interesting to witness a story that brought a storm to the Victorian Society with its notoriety in a 21st century avatar.

Or will the classicist not approve the retouching of this powerful novel? Only time can tell that. Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros are ready to bring The Grays on Netflix. It is written by Katie Rose and deals with the fascination of eternal youth. The direction of Lee Toland will helm the project. The cast remains under covers but speculations about the lead role of Dorian and his admirer Basil are under much debate on social media. The book was a trailblazer with its publishing in 1891, the themes of hedonism and homoerotic sensualism can take an interesting turn in our modern day world if the writting is sensible.
