Netflix has left subscribers with smiles after it acquired the rights for streaming WWE in India. The popular show was streaming on SonyLIV for quite some time and fans had all kinds of problems with it.
There are too many ads running in the middle of shows on SonyLIV and this has had no solution for more than two years. Fans have been urging Netflix to take on the WWE rights for quite some time now. And looks like it is news to celebrate for fans as well.
Having to watch so many ads so frequently has left SonyLIV subscribers very frustrated and if the platform does not take required action soon, the viewer base will start shifting to other platforms.
WWE has immense popularity in India and the fans of the wrestling show are die-hard ones and interrupting ‘devotees’ of WWE with continuous ads made no sense at all.
People are now urging Netflix to collect the rights for Shark Tank as well. Shark Tank India has gained huge popularity in a very short period of time and SonyLIV’s streaming problems interrupt the smooth OTT experience of the viewers.
If Netflix manages to stream Shark Tank after WWE it will be the platform’s another big win over SonyLIV.
