Hottest OTT Web Series S2: Jio Hotstar Vs Amazon

The Night Manager starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor and Sobhita Dhulipala made a big splash when it released on JioHotstar in 2023. As a remake of the British series based on John le Carré’s novel, the show had a great cast and story.

Aditya Roy Kapur as the undercover night manager Shaan Sengupta and Anil Kapoor’s performance was outstanding and kept us hooked. Fans have been waiting for season 2 and director Priyanka Ghose gave an interesting update.

Though there is no official confirmation yet, Priyanka said they definitely plan to make a second season. The entire team including the British producers who own the rights are keen to move forward.

But there are still some legal and formalities to be sorted out especially since the original English version’s season 2 is still being shot and will release in 2025. The rights are with Amazon Global so which streaming platform and producers will be involved is still unclear.

It’s clear the makers are as excited as the fans but we will have to wait a bit more for an official announcement. Given how well the first season was received, expectations are high.

Let’s hope season 2 lives up to the hype and is another thrilling ride!
