There was a huge demand for the Tamil dubbed version of the British web series ‘Peaky Blinders’ for the last few years. And now, finally a Tamil version has come, but it looks like it is missing a grand opportunity.
The Tamil ‘Peaky Blinders’ will be coming out on TV and not on OTT. It will premiere on Zee Café on the 23rd of April and there will be a new episode every day at 9 PM.
‘Peaky Blinders’ is not at all suitable for TV and it has multiple sex scenes and profane language all over the show. And the OTT platform streaming it could cash in a good amount of views with the show. But now that opportunity is gone.
If only there were some more planning, this could have been a big win for Netflix, where Peaky Blinders is now streaming, or Zee5, the OTT extension of Zee network.
But the pay television channel will reduce the reach and there will be many fans who will miss out on watching the show. There is a possibility however, of the Tamil dub coming out on OTT after the 36 episodes are done streaming on TV, but there is still no confirmation for that.
