Prime Video Ads – Will Consumer Affairs Step In?

Amazon Prime Video’s newly added, 6 mins ads per hour content policy is getting enough backlash from the subscribers, so much so that the viewers are not hesitating to voice this issue to the consumer rights.

The newly added policy by Prime Video is applicable for the subscribers who have already subscribed for an ad free subscription, and without their consent, Prime added this policy which felt like sharp betrayal, according to the viewers it is breach of their trust and nothing else.

Now it’s time to see if the consumer affair steps inside this situation or not.

People who already had the yearly subscription of Amazon Prime Video are right now furious because they have already paid enough money for their ads free subscription, and now without any consent in between their existing plan they have introduced ads, and for a ads free streaming they have to pay more money.

It looks like Amazon Prime Video is running after monetization so much that the platform which once gave seamless streaming and prioritized audience satisfaction is now forgetting that it is very moral.

Amazon Prime Video should immediately take a step about this ongoing situation, because the silence from the streaming giant is gathering much more audience frustration with each passing day.

Before the situation turns into a wildfire the platform should do something for its existing subscribers.
