Game Changer’s 5-Hour Cut on Prime; Trolls Feast

After directing iconic films like Sivaji: The Boss, Nayak: The Real Hero, Aparichit and Indian, everyone had high hopes for S. Shankar’s Game Changer.

But the Ram Charan and Kiara Advani starrer film flopped miserably at the box office.

Although the film was made on a budget of Rs 450 crores, it didn’t even collect Rs 180 crores from its Indian audience. It somehow collected around Rs 30 crores overseas.

Despite having a known cast, the film turned out to be a disaster.

And what is a flop film without its trolls?

After the film was released on 10th January it was highly trolled in all aspects.

Now that Game Changer is set to release on Prime Videos India on the 7th of February, trolls have grabbed the opportunity to pull the director’s leg.

Shankar previously had said that he was forced to cut down 5 hours of footage and make the film of 2.5 hours. Unfortunately, he had to cut down all the good scenes in that cut.

This might be the reason the film seems disconnected in places, he defends.

Upon hearing the news of the OTT release, fans have been asking Shankar to release the 5-hour footage. Not because they are excited to watch the film, but because they will get more content to troll the film about.

Many people are demanding a director’s cut or a second part of the film so that they can see how these scenes could have salvaged such a disastrous film.
