Rapper Raftaar To Venture In Debut Series “Bajao”

Musicians have been venturing into acting for a long time, starting with Sonu Nigam in “Jaani Dushman.” Among rappers, we’ve seen Yo Yo Honey Singh in movies like “The Xposé” and “Zorawar,” and Badshah in “Khandaani Shafakhana,” although none of them were able to establish their names. Now, another rapper is trying his luck in acting.

The popular rapper Raftaar who has given us chartbuster songs like “Dhhakad” and “All Black”, is coming with a brand new series titled “Bajao” on Jio TV, which promises to be a crazy ride. Set against the backdrop of Delhi, the show features Raftaar, TVF’s famous face Sahil Khattar, and Sahil Vaid, known from “Dil Bechara” and “Shershaah,” where these guys plan to create a music video of Gabbar, played by none other than Raftaar. However, things are not as simple as they seem, as an unexpected turn of events causes havoc in the lives of Sahil and others.

Raftaar has shared the trailer of his web series on his Instagram and, along with the series, he has also released the album of the series including bangers like “PopG” and “Oh Shit.” Having witnessed great success in music and HipHop, let’s see how he performs in the acting field. “Bajao” helmed by Shiva Varma and Saptaraj Chakraborty premieres on 25th August exclusively on JioCinema.
