Shahrukh Khan’s Jawan Lags Behind Brahmastra

SRK and Atlee’s collaboration has turned out to be the biggest box office attraction of the year with $62 million (520 crore) worldwide collection in the first weekend.

Not only that, Jawan is the second highest grossing movie worldwide in its first weekend, lagging behind only ‘The Nun II’ with $85.3 million.

It is not the first time that an Indian movie is amongst the highest grossing movies worldwide on a weekend.

Last year, Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra opened at #1 at the global box office beating Brad Pitt’s ‘Bullet Train’ and DC’s ‘League Of Super Pets’ with ₹225 crore collection.

SRK movies have a tremendous collection this year with Pathan collecting ₹429 crore during its opening weekend.

Still, Brahmastra beat them both to become the #1 movie at the global box office even with a much lower collection.

Jawan is expected to cross ₹600 crore today at the global box office.
