The second season of Paatal Lok is winning hearts and has already gathered a huge amount of views. But the creator of the show Sudip Sharma says that a season 2 was not planned at all.
In a recent interview, Sudip Sharma elaborated how he had no ideas or intentions for a season 2 while he was writing the first season. And it was meant to be a standalone story, that is why there are no cliffhangers and is a satisfying closure in season 1.
It is awe-inspiring how he pulled off a second season with such expertise when it was not planned from the beginning. A lot of hard work has been put up to come up with a sequel season that is as good as the first one, or even better.
Sudip said, “I saw it as a stand-alone, complete story. That’s why there is a closure to the story. Even if there wasn’t another season, I would have been okay with it.”
He says his promise to Amazon was if after the first season he and the team felt like making another season, then they would give it a try. But he did not commit to it fully then because this was his first web series and he wanted to see how he felt doing this.
