Netflix is one of those platforms that have managed to offer us the best shows over the years. Squid Game is also included in that list. The unique concept of the series alongside the performances managed to leave an impression on the public.

The video revealed that Lee Jung-jae is returning to portray Seong Gi-hun. Although the teaser did not disclose the identities of the players, their numbers on the back of the jackets appear on screen and it ends with Gi-hun showing his face alongside a release date for the second season.

If we recall the history of Netflix shows, a common thing has always happened where the second season of a series has received a better response compared to the first. The same is being expected from Squid Game and a major reason behind the positive response could be the fanbase that the show has accumulated among the Americans.

The show has a mixture of comedy, emotions, and violence, which has contributed to its popularity. It continues to remain on top of the trending list on the streaming platform and a third season is already arriving next year.

Coming to the basic premise, Season 2 will be set three years after the events of the previous season. Player 456 has opted not to return to the States and Gi-hun will bring new players to compete for the winning amount of 45.6 billion won.
