Star India is going to produce a web series that chronicles the 90-year journey of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The series aims to help the public better understand the RBI’s role in India’s economic growth.
Established in 1935, the RBI celebrated its 90th anniversary in April this year.
In response to an RBI-issued Request for Proposal (RFP) in July, several contenders including Viacom 18, Zee Entertainment, and Discovery Communications, competed for the project.
Star India and Viacom 18 reached the final round. Star India ultimately secured the tender for Rs 6.5 crore after technical evaluations.
The web series will consist of five episodes, each lasting 25-30 minutes, and will be available on national television and OTT platforms.
The series aims to educate people on the important role of the RBI in the economy. It will increase public interest and build trust in the RBI’s policies.
The episodes will explain the RBI’s mission, major achievements, current projects, and partnerships.
Using storytelling, expert interviews, and quality visuals, the series will simplify complex financial topics.
This will help a wide audience understand finance better and encourage financial awareness.
