The much-awaited movie “Superboys of Malegaon” is likely to make a strong contribution to OTT platforms, especially on Prime Video, after its theatrical run.
Even as it underperformed at the box office, the exclusive script of the movie and the motivational true events behind it are likely to play well with viewers online.
Produced by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby Films and directed by Reema Kagti, the film features Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Shashank Arora.
The film is based on the lives of local filmmakers in Malegaon and the resilience and passion they put into making local parodies of successful movies.
The theatrical performance of the film, which started on February 28, 2025, has been limited, but its OTT release is expected to increase its viewership many times.
As the film has involved big producers such as Farhan Akhtar and the film itself has received high critical ratings, it is expected that Prime Video will be its streaming partner, though officially no confirmation is available.
Movies such as “Superboys of Malegaon” tend to get their real audience on streaming services, where they can engage a large and interested viewership.
Therefore, it is likely that this movie is going to go through the roof on OTT as a must-see for those who love inspiring films as well as independent cinema.
