The long-delayed project Test, starring Siddharth, Nayanthara, and Madhavan, is finally gearing up for release. The teaser, unveiled yesterday, officially confirmed that the film will premiere directly on Netflix, bypassing a theatrical release.
The TEST teaser has been met with a positive response, with many social media users praising its gripping drama and promising premise. Directed by S. S. Sashikanth, the producer behind acclaimed films like Vikram Vedha, Mandela, and Game Over, The Test marks his directorial debut.
Adding to the film’s uniqueness, playback singer Shakthisree Gopalan has composed its musical album.
Initially planned for a theatrical release, the film faced financial hurdles, leading the team to opt for an OTT release. While the official release date is yet to be announced, sources suggest it will likely premiere this month or next.
Both Siddharth and Nayanthara have struggled to deliver a major hit in recent years, with most of their films either underperforming or turning out to be average outings. It remains to be seen whether The Test can mark a strong comeback for them.
