This week, two notable South Indian films Thandel, Vidaamuyarchi were released—one from the Telugu industry and one from the Tamil industry, both featuring well-known stars.
Thandel, the much-awaited Telugu film from Geetha Arts, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, hit screens today.
Ajith’s Vidaamuyarchi from the Tamil industry was released a day earlier. Coincidentally, both theatrical releases aligned around the same time, just a day apart. Their critical verdicts are already out, while their commercial fate will be determined in the coming days.
Interestingly, both Thandel and Vidaamuyarchi will stream on the same OTT platform—Netflix. They are expected to premiere around the March time frame.
Another coincidence is that both films will be available in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. When they start streaming on Netflix, they will be accessible in all these languages.
