Aditya Dhar is reportedly planning a new historical film based on Chandragupta Maurya. The project is said to be his most ambitious venture so far.
After the success of Dhurandhar and its sequel, Aditya Dhar has gained strong recognition. His work has raised expectations among audiences for large-scale storytelling.
The new film is expected to move away from modern themes and explore ancient Indian history. The story will focus on the Mauryan era, offering a grand cinematic canvas.
Ranveer Singh is reportedly in talks for the project. However, it is not confirmed whether he will play Chandragupta Maurya or another key role.
Ranveer Singh’s recent performances have received strong appreciation. This has increased interest in a possible reunion between him and Aditya Dhar.
There are also reports that major corporate groups like Jio and Birla Group may come on board as financial backers.
As of now, there is no official confirmation about the film. Industry sources suggest that an announcement could be made around November, though timelines remain flexible.
If confirmed, the film could mark a major genre shift for Aditya Dhar. It may also open the door for a new franchise based on Indian history.
At present, the project is still in the discussion stage. Further clarity is expected once the makers make an official announcement.
